Nobuyoshi ArakiNobuyoshi Araki est un artiste et photographe japonais. Il est né à Tokyo le 25 mai 1945 et est âgé de 66 ans. Il est mondialement connu et a su séduire son public avec ses photographies dérangeantes alliant sexe, torture et scènes de vie quotidienne. En 1963, Nobuyoshi Araki sort diplômé du département d'ingénierie de l'université de Chiba. Avant de se lancer dans la photographie, il devient caméraman et s'exerce dans la prise d'images. Jugeant avoir les capacités nécessaires, il devient alors photographe indépendant.Devenu photographe, il réalise en 1971 un journal intime, une série de photos privées intitulée Senchimentaru natabi (voyage sentimental). Shoji UedaShoji Ueda est né à Sakaiminato, dans la région de Tottori, en 1913.Fils d'une famille d'artisans, Shoji Ueda découvre la photographie vers 1928, après s'être intéressé à la peinture. Son père lui offre un Vest-Pocket Kodak en 1929. Il suit les cours de l'université de Yonago, tout en pratiquant de plus en plus régulièrement la photographie.Shoji Ueda étudie en 1932 à l'Oriental School of Photography de Tokyo et de retour à Sakaiminato, il ouvre un studio. Parallèlement, il intègre des associations de photographes au sein desquelles il montre ses premiers travaux et obtient très vite des prix dans les concours organisés par les magazines.Shoji Ueda devient en 1937 membre de l'important Chugoku Photographers Group. Kanako AzumaNée à Ehime ( Japon) en 1991, elle a obtenu son diplôme à la Tokyo University of the Arts (département d'Art Intermedia) en 2016. Ses nombreuses recherches ainsi que ses photographies de lieux et zones spécifiques sont consignées dans l'œuvre vidéo Sanctuary pour laquelle elle a reçu le prix 2016 de l'art Heisei (Heisei Art Award).

Ses photographies, exposées en France, en Europe et au Japon, sont présentes dans les collections de la Bibliothèque Nationale de France et du Musée d'Art de la Photo de Kyosato, Japon.
Eikoh HosoeEikoh Hosoe est l’un des maîtres de la photographie depuis la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Né à Yonezawa en 1933, il grandit à Tokyo. À l’âge de 18 ans, il décide de devenir photographe.Diplômé de l’université de photographie de Tokyo en 1954, il fait sa première exposition individuelle en 1956. Depuis près d’un demi-siècle, il a produit des travaux qui font date dans l’histoire de la photographie et s’est imposé comme l’un des plus grands photographes de la scène internationale. Mayumi HosokuraMayumi Hosokura est née à Kyoto en 1979. Diplômée en lit- térature de l’Université de Ritsumeikan au Japon, elle a égale- ment étudié la photographie à l’Ecole d’art de Nihon, dont elle sera diplômée en 2005. Nominée pour le prix Hitotsubo en 2004 et 2005, elle a récemment été sélectionnée et publiée dans le numéro Talent du magazine Foam en 2011. Son dernier livre, KAZAN, a été publié chez artbeat publishers en mars 2012.

Hideyuki IshibashiNé à Hyogo ( Japon) en 1986, il est diplômé du Nihon University College of Arts (2009). Depuis 2011, il vit et travaille à Lille, en France. Il a été finaliste du SFR Jeunes Talents / Lille 3000 au Micro Marco en 2014 et a été nominé pour le prix Voies Off en 2013. Depuis 2016, il étudie au Fresnoy Studio national d'arts contemporains.
Ryuichi IshikawaRyuichi Ishikawa, 30 ans, est né à Okinawa. D’abord champion de boxe, il est devenu photographe. Un Hasselblad autour du cou, Ryuichi Ishikawa saisit des portraits de son quotidien: marginaux, déshérités, drogués, transsexuels, clochards… Autant de perdants magnifiques qui dessinent les contours d’une société hiérarchisée où la place des exclus reste indéfinie.
Fumi Ishino Né à Hyogo ( Japon) en 1984, il obtient un Bachelor of Fine Arts du Rochester Institute of Technology en 2012 puis un Master of Fine Arts de Yale University School of Art en 2014. Expositions précédentes : New Cosmos of Photography 2015, au Daikanyama Hillside Forum ; The Heart is a Lonely Hunter supervisée par Katy Grannan au Fraenkel Gallery à San Francisco en 2015 et Deep End, à la galerie Diane Rosenstein Fine Art à Los Angeles en 2014. Il reçoit plusieurs récompenses dont le Japan Photo Award, la mention honorable du New Cosmos of Photography en 2015 et la bourse Toby Devan Lewis Fellowship en 2014.

yoshinori Mizutani The 1987 in Fukui Pref. born artist Yoshinori Mizutani graduated from the Tokyo College of Photography in 2012. In 2013 he won the Tokyo Frontline Photo Award and the Japan Photo Award 2013. His foray into photography is fairly recent, he started 4 years ago. Nonetheless, his photographs do demonstrate an innate understanding of how forms, colours, textures and depth translate to the pictoral plane. He is working with a visual vocabulary that has been well established by the work of many photographers active today. Mizutani’s work serves as a good gauge of the visual tropes and photographic styles hat are prevalent among young photographers active in Tokyo today. He uses a simple digital camera and takes a lot of images. He is a real snap shooter in present-day.
