Rosalind SolomonRosalind Solomon, née en 1930 dans l'Illinois fut élève de Lisette Model. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme, Rosalind Solomon a voyagé en Belgique et en France avec The Experiment in International Living, une organisation avec laquelle elle est restée étroitement associés pour les deux prochaines décennies. Frederick SommerFrederick Sommer est un photographe brésilien décédé en 1999Frederick Sommer was the son of city planner and trained as an architect in Brazil. His drawings were first exhibited in Brazil during his teenage years and helped him gain admission to the architecture program at Cornell University, despite his lack of an undergraduate degree or knowledge of the English language. While in Switzerland in 1931, recovering from tuberculosis, Sommer purchased his first camera. He moved to Arizona in 1935 and devoted himself to photography after coming under the influence of Alfred Stieglitz and Edward Weston. His initial work bordered on the grotesque, often depicting animal carcasses. Sommer later moved on to produce landscapes and photographic assemblages.
Michael SomoroffMichael Somoroff, the son of the eminent commercial photographer Ben Somoroff, was born in New York City in 1957. Michael studied art and photography at the New School for Social Research and assisted his father in his studio, on the set, on location and in the darkroom. In October 1979 the first exhibition of Somoroff's photography was held at The International Center of Photography in New York City under the personal supervision of Cornell Capa launching young Somoroff's career. In 1978, at the age of twenty-one, he opened his own photography studio and shortly thereafter began working for virtually every major magazine in New York and Europe. Eve SonnemanEve Sonneman, a photographer of international renown, was born in Chicago. She has exhibited widely throughout the world, and has had 85 one-person exhibitions. She has participated in the 1977 Documenta and in the biennales of Venice, Paris, Strasbourg and Australia. Her work is represented in major museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Centre George Pompidou, Paris, the National Gallery of Australia, among others.
