Photographer Antoine d'Agata immersed himself in Japan's sexual underground, keeping an audio-visual diary of his nights. Aka Ana offers a profound yet transgressive and raw depiction of the world of sex trade workers. The images are at once beautiful, shocking and sensual; while voices moodily reflect on loneliness, sex, drugs and death.
