Exposition : « Autoportraits »
- Exposition
Aspects of European Photography, circa 1930
With the title "Aspects of European Photography, circa 1930", the Jörg Maaß Gallery will show a selection of 55 black and white photographs displaying a wide overview of the various aspects of European photography from the middle of the 1920s to the end of the 1930s.

The exhibition will include important representatives of the "Neues Sehen" and "Neue Sachlichkeit", as well as artists influenced by Surrealism.
In spite of the impressive similarities that become apparent when images by different photographers are juxtaposed, revealing time and again a common interest in the selection of subject matters, the exhib... - Exposition
Selected photograhs - From Brassaï to Cindy Sherman
For a number of years we have been gathering together a collection of photographs which has evolved into a substantial group, but has never been shown publicly. A selection of which we would now like to present in our exhibition 'Selected photographs. From Brassaï to Cindy Sherman'.
Our intentions are to provide a wide and representative cross section of our inventory, beginning in the late 1920s and continuing up to the present day. We focus on American and European photography; black and white, as well as color. We have chosen works - in addition to the significance of the individual artists according to certain central themes: the nude, landscapes, portraits and architecture, to name the most prominent.
Brassaï and Cindy Sherman are representative of the chronology of our selection, the ... - Exposition
European Photography - Reggio Emilia Human, alltoo Human
On Wednesday 30th April European Photography meets again in Reggio Emilia. This annual international festival is curated by the art critic Elio Grazioli and promoted by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia.
Umano troppo umano (Human, all too Human) is the title and key theme of this third edition of Fotografia europea, dedicated to the controversial concept of the body, explored in its many and sometimes radically contrasting meanings.
As a result of our multi-disciplinary approach, numerous temporary exhibitions will be organised until 8th June 2008.These will be joined by a calendar of over one hundred events in the opening days from 30th April to 4th May, including lectio magistralis, conversations, seminars, workshops and performances in several places around the city. The photographers, artists and critics invo...
