Polly Tootal was born in Hertfordshre, UK and has lived and worked in London since graduating. She read Editorial Photography under Magnum photographer Mark Power at the University of Brighton and since has won the Association of Photographers Award; commissioned work for the Southbank Centre & Hayward Touring Exhibition London – alongside Walker Evans Photographs 1935 – 1936 and has had solo and group exhibitions at numerous galleries and cultural institutes in London and San Diego, USA. The artist and photographer Nick Waplington was born 1970 in Aden and lives in New York City. The eldest of three children, he traveled extensively during his childhood as his father worked as a scientist in the nuclear industry. He studied art at Worthing Art College, Trent Polytechic and the Royal College of Art in London.From 1984 Waplington would regularly visit his grandfather on the Broxtowe Estate in Nottingham where he began to photograph his immediate surroundings. Friends and neighbours of his family became his subject matter of choice. He continued with this work on and off for the next 15 years and from it came two books (Living Room and Weddings, Parties, Anything, both Aperture Foundation) and numerous exhibitions. George Washington wilson

Né en Écosse en 1823, il émigre rapidement vers Londres pour être portraitiste. Son talent lui permet de photographier la reine Victoria ce qui lui permettra d'avoir le soutien de la famille royale durant toute sa carrière. En 1860 il reçoit le titre de "photographer royal for scotland". Il photographie dans un premier temps le Royaume-Uni sous toutes ses coutures avant de voyager et de ramener des photos d'Australie, d'Afrique du sud, du Maroc... George Washington Wilson est considéré comme un pionnier de la photographie pour avoir conçu un appareil et pour avoir amélioré les techniques de prises de vue en extérieur. Lorsque il décède en 1893, son entreprise compte 40 personnes.

In 2006, after completing graduate course in sociology, he moved to the UK and five years later graduated from Photography at University of Bolton.Being a freelance photographer Maciek is drawn to a modern language of visual arts. He does not call himself an artist, however, now and again he uses photography as a way of personal expression and in an attempt to communicate with others.Human nature is Maciek's main inspiration. Madame Yevonde est une photographe anglaise née le 5 janvier 1893 à Londres, Royaume-Uni.C'est au début des années 30 que Madame Yevonde (née Yevonde Cumbers Middleton) commence à s'intéresser à la photographie chromatique en utilisant le nouveau procédé couleur Vivex de Colour Photography Limited de Willesden. Ce procédé consistait à superposer trois négatifs de couleurs différentes (cyan, magenta et jaune) et permettait une grande variété de teintes plus ou moins accentuées.
