Huda Lutfi (b. Cairo, 1947) is a cultural, feminist historian by professional training whose work in the field of the visual arts translates these affiliations in multiple complex ways. In 1983, she received her PhD in Arab Muslim Cultural History from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Born 1947 in Lucerne, where he was also raised, Lüthi attended the school of applied arts in Zurich and worked as a graphic artistHis first complete cycle of works was exhibited in 1966 at the 'Beat Mäder' gallery in Berne.In 1969, Lüthi turned to photography. Photographe depuis 1996, il s'est principalement intéressé à des sujets dans les Balkans, au Brésil, en Afrique de l'Ouest, aux Etats-Unis et en Suisse. Christian Lutz publie « Protokoll » en 2007 ; un travail dans lequel il dévoile avec ironie les mises en scènes du pouvoir politique. Il prépare en ce moment un prochain livre qui traite de ranchers et de cowboys dans l'Ouest américain.
