CONTACT, Toronto Photography Festival 2012
CONTACT is an annual festival of photography in Toronto, during the month of May, with over 1000 local, national and international artists exhibiting at almost 200 venues. Founded as a not-for-profit organization 16 years ago, and now a charitable organization, the festival is devoted to celebrating, and fostering the art and profession of photography. It stimulates excitement and discussion among a diverse audience that has grown to over 1.8 million. CONTACT is the largest photography event in the world, and a premiere cultural event in Canada.

La galerie des bibliothèques présente 150 photographies et vidéos contemporaines issues des fonds des bibliothèques et musées de la ville de Paris. Une occasion de découvrir un fonds d'oeuvres majeures marquant un tournant décisif dans l'histoire de la photographie. Paris est au centre de cette exposition : les artistes s'emparent de la ville, et tentent d'en cerner les contours. Ils nous montrent des liens visibles ou invisibles entre la ville et ses habitants, entre espace intime et espace public, entre le centre et sa périphérie.

A Foundation is the London focus of a touring exhibition to Istanbul, London and Berlin 2009/10. Inspired by the celebrated Turkish writer and political figure Nazim Hikmet's book of poems Journeys With No Return, this project explores reflections of Turkish migration on contemporary art.
Twelve artists from Germany, Great Britain and Turkey uncover themes around Turkish migration over the last 50 years in works that are new to UK audiences – six of which are unveiled for the first time. The artists balance the local with the global, their subjective sense of identity with cultural dissemination that potentially knows no borders.
