Benefit Photo Auction for Survival International's movement
The Little Black Gallery supports the Survival International Benefit Photo Auction with Paddle8, which goes live from 11-25 May 2015.
This auction of contemporary photography, curated by Ghislain Pascal of The Little Black Gallery, is raising the much needed funds for Survival International. It includes images donated by some of the world's best known photographers and some of the hottest emerging new names, such as Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Carol Beckwith & Angela Fisher, Giovanni Cipriani, Bob Carlos Clarke, Nick Cobbing, Marco Glaviano and many others.
Survival International is the global movement for tribal peoples’ rights. It champions tribal peoples around the world, helping them defend their lives, protect their lands and determine their own futures.

The London Festival of photography 2012
Only one month remains until the 2012 London Festival of Photography takes over some of London’s most celebrated venues.
A total of 18 exhibitions and over 30 events will transform King's Cross into a hive of photographic activity, with most exhibitions within convenient walking distance of one another. Venues include St Pancras Station, British Museum, British Library, Kings Place, Tate Modern, Museum of London and Guardian Gallery.
The comprehensive range of festival content which includes historic archives, contemporary installations, multimedia work, portfolio reviews and a variety of workshops, will ensure that every photography lover will find something of interest within the programme.

Simulated Alternative Realities
Simulated alternative realities can take many different forms. They can be found everywhere – in the elaborate utopias and dystopias created in books, magazines and films, in our belief or denial in the existence of an afterlife, in our very dreams and aspirations. We create alternative realities for ourselves each time we imagine the things that might have been, the half-remembered past, events that never happened but we believe to be true. Simulated alternate realities make strange and unfamiliar the things that we thought we knew. Dreamworlds, hopes and fantasies, these alternate realities are created as survival strategies for our daily lives. Chroniques Hongkongaises
DIORAMA PROJECTS a le plaisir de vous présenter les détails de sa seconde exposition annuelle.
L’exposition emprunte son titre aux Chroniques hongkongaises, ouvrage de Gérard Henry publié en 2008 aux Editions Zoe de Genève, un recueil de chroniques et de récits qui saisissent la vie de la cité de Hong Kong durant les dix premières années de son époque postcoloniale après sa rétrocession par le Royaume Uni à la Chine. L’exposition offre à travers les œuvres de huit artistes de Hong Kong une perspective unique sur l’anomalie territoriale et culturelle d’un Hong Kong post-moderne confronté à son histoire récente.
