Getty Images annonce les vainqueurs de la bourse Creative Grants 2013
Getty Images France est ravi d’annoncer que les photographes Jennifer Karady et Elley Ho, ainsi que les agences Fraser Communications et Heward Jue Inc, ont été sélectionnées pour recevoir la bourse Creative Grants de Getty Images. Les deux équipes, chacune constituée d’une photographe et d’un professionnel de la communication, recevra 20 000 dollars pour créer une base d’images de qualité dans le but de promouvoir une organisation à but non lucratif.

Exhibition : « 5 years – Six artists »
Founded in 2011, Hardhitta Gallery is celebrating its fifth year of existence on 15 January 2016. For its anniversary exhibition 5 Years – Six Artists gallerist Bene Taschen will feature gallery artists Arlene Gottfried, Jamel Shabazz, Gregory Bojorquez, Joseph Rodriguez, Miron Zownir, and Oliver Blum, showing a selection of works that has never before been seen in Germany.

Through the use of historical and contemporary photographs, we celebrate the ingenuity and culture of subways. Since the late 19th Century, cities have turned to tunnelling to transport their ever growing mass. Efficient, claustrophobic, worn down and constantly updated, for many city dwellers subways are a necessary part of their daily lives. Transporting oneself underground seems both otherworldly and commonplace; it is a place where solitude is often felt strongly.

This exhibition features work by unknown photographers hired to document the building of the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Co. in New York. Opening of ‘Represent’, the first Dutch retrospective by street photographer Jamel Shabazz.
On Friday, March 1st, 2013 from 17.00 to 19.00 hours in the Gallery Cultural Speech, we will be opening the retrospective ‘Represent’ by the legendary, New York photographer Jamel Shabazz (1960). This will be the first time that his work will be shown in the Netherlands. ‘Represent’ offers an insight into Shabazz’s photographic oeuvre in which he depicts the dynamic street life of Brooklyn from the 1980s to the present day.
