Monique Frydman works on the colour, the light and the material. Sinuous ornaments and velvety figures cross her canvas as colour and light choreography. Her work unfurls between determinism and chance, between though colour and « hold hand » colour. By a tactile relationship with the material, and thantksfull to an experienced technic perfectly managed, the texture itself was born from her work. The surface becomes a sensitive organ, a reactive skin escapes from the line primacy on the colour. Gloria Friedman build her protean work as many protocols of experiences. She delimits action field, defines parameters and variables, without suggesting solutions. She directs the relationship between human being and his ecosystem, and she questions the human being evolution with his doubts and his wandering. Two women, two personalities, two universes, two sensitivities, an unexpected meeting. In order to celebrate the 20 years old of Sollertis gallery, Monique Frydman invited Gloria Friedmann. With enthusiasm and complicity, ‘the one and the other' introduce us a productive dialogue, a project based on exchange, an unexpected exhibition.
