The exhibition “Yesterday I met a really wild man” presented as part of the Warsaw Gallery Weekend 2015 aims to place the central problem that Lelonek’s work explores in the context of art, humanities and natural sciences. The accompanying interviews and meetings will allow the audience to confront her stance not only with the views of scholars who specialize in posthumanism, but also with those of academics devoted to natural sciences. The final shape of the exhibition is the result of an attempt to start a dialogue that would bring together different disciplines – a dialogue especially important nowadays, when man’s expansion directly endangers other species that inhabit Earth and people themselves. Diana Lelonek (born 1988) Graduate of the Faculty of Multimedia Communication at the University of Arts in Poznań. Currently working as an assistant professor in the 7th Studio of Intermedia Photography. Her practice is based on photography, combined with other media. She is interested in activities related to BioArt. Lelonek won several international competitions, among others: Show Off during the Photomonth Festival in Cracow and ReGeneration 3 at the Musée de l’Elysée in Switzerland. Her works appear, among others, in the collection of the Museum of Photography in Lausanne.Lookout Gallery ul.Putawska 41/lok.22 02-508 Warsaw Pologne
