For this exhibition cannelle tanc and frédéric vincent have choose 36 artist run spaces in Berlin between 70's until now.

Some of this artists run spaces are historic, like atelier michael diller, ateliergalerie Scheib, or Kippenbergerbüro. Some of them haved open during the cold war, it was at this time, very difficult to showing some artists from the west side, the artists, and the intellectuals was always under the eyes of the Statsi. At this time, the relationship between the artists and the writers was more close than now. And lot of writers or poets meet lot of artists and could worked together. Now the situation have well changed. After the wall faling, the artist run spaces open specialy in Mitte or Prenzlauberg. Now thecenter of the city have change, lot of artists conquest the south (Kreuzberg and neukolln) or the north (wedding) the old french area. The exhibition is showing in an other artists run space, copyright projektraum and other historic artist run space of Berlin.
