Fred Ritchin has been named Dean of School at the International Center of Photography, a newly created position. Ritchin has served as professor of photography and imaging at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he co-directs the NYU/Magnum Foundation Program in Photography and Human Rights with Susan Meiselas. A former picture editor at the New York Times Magazine, Ritchin is the author of In Our Own Image: The Coming Revolution in Photography and Bending the Frame: Photojournalism, Documentary, and the Citizen, both published by Aperture.
