Right now, if you log onto www.london-photographic-awards.com you¹ll be able to view the winners and finalists of our three latest photographic competitions, Adsight 04 - commissioned advertising photography¹Let¹s Face It¹ ­ portraiture and ŒAll Along The Watchtower¹ ­ a conceptual brief using Bob Dylan¹s famous lyric. In just a click or two, you¹ll discover a fascinating mix of international photographers from China, USA. Germany, UK, France, Australia, Turkeyand Canada, all represented in the winners and finalists galleries. Matt Hoyle of the USA took the gold award for his portraiture series ­ American South, and Andreas Smetana of Australia picked up the silver award with a series looking at people with severe injuries and disfigurements. The awards attract top commercial and fine art photographers however, they are also open to enthusiasts and the LPA is pleased to announce that two of the Gold places went to amateur photographers, Ahmed Hadrovic (Turkey) for Black and White portraiture and Viviana Niemann (Germany) for her interpretation of Bob Dylon¹s ŒAll Along The Watchtower¹ ­ a series of images taken in Bosnia. Our new competitions are currently inviting entries for Landscape; Landscape with Figures; Urbanscape and Urbanscape with Figures. Closing date 1st August 2005.
