Stefanie Moshammer was born in Vienna 1988, graduated from Fashion School Vienna and received a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design & Photography at University of Art and Design in Linz/Austria.
Afterwards she attended the BA in Advanced Visual Storytelling at the Danish School of Media and Journalism.
In Spring 2015 her first photo-book “Vegas and She” got published by Fotohof edition and is distributed internationally.
Her work plays on the the boundaries between documentary and art, touching on subjects of subculture, intimacy and ambiguity.
“In an image-driven culture, visual content dominates, but our associations and preconceptions of images can inhibit us.
Stefanie Moshammer uses visual story-telling to bring the viewer back to the image, to consider the where, who and why through pop colours, nebulous subjects and a penchant for off-beat surrealism.
Stefanie’s lens seeks out the little details that can elevate still images into cinematic potential; a miniature American flag, a red-eyed rabbit, a blood-stained hoodie, each has a story to tell.”
