le Centre de la Photographie Genève est fier de vous annoncer la tenue de la 5e édition de la triennale 50JPG - 50 Jours pour la Photographie à Genève, et son exposition centrale CAMÉRA(AUTO)CONTRÔLE, du 1er juin au 31 juillet 2016.
Cet événement majeur plongera au coeur de la question des images automatisées, drones, selfies, réseaux sociaux, traitement de données et systèmes de surveillance, en articulant les démarches de plus de 60 artistes internationaux.
La manifestation se déploiera de plus à travers les programmations respectives d'une trentaine de lieux culturels de Genève et de ses environs, formant les constellations IN (en lien avec la thématique de l'éditio... - Exposition
Exhibition : Women Powerful and Powerless
Virtual Exhibition: 19 January – 19 July 2015 One of the hallmarks of the Teutloff Photo + Video Collection is that although it’s focused on the human body, it always carries a distinct political component. This fact created the idea for a so far unknown vantage point on the Collection – a "woman’s view" became the new approach for a virtual exhibition.

« Tattoo, the face of freedom » in Teutloff Museum
The tattoo, originally “the tatau” ornaments the skin and thus abstracts everyday life. The Tattoo is a masquerade of the skin and marks the body itself as the place of fantasy. Because through the painted body - through the tattoo - the body itself becomes exotic and therefore there is no normal everyday life anymore. Now there is only an exotic and erotic everyday life possible.
To cover the body with signs is like opening a door. A door to paradise, to another place, to an utopian place. The body itself becomes this heterotopos. The body itself becomes this utopian place. The door of the tattoo leads to the theater of illusions - just think of Genet -, to the theater of desires like in a dream. The door of the tattoo leads to the room of childhood, to the chambers of the unconscious.
