Harmony Korine (born January 4, 1973)[1] is an American film director, producer, screenwriter, and author. He is best known for writing Kids, and for directing Gummo, Julien Donkey-Boy and Mister Lonely. His film Trash Humpers premiered at Toronto International Film Festival and won the main prize, the DOX Award, at CPH:DOX in November 2009.
Korine's most recent feature film Spring Breakers starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine shot in Florida in early 2012, and received its world premiere at the 2012 Venice International Film Festival, going on to the Toronto International Film Festival.

Né en 1973 à Bolinas en Californie (USA), Harmony Korine est un artiste, réalisateur et scénariste américain. C’est en skatant dans le parc de Washington Square qu’il rencontre le photographe Larry Clark à qui il fait lire un scénario. Celui-ci, impressionné, lui commande un scénario dans lequel il raconterait sa vie quotidienne. En moins de trois semaines, Harmony Korine livre Kids. Il a alors 19 ans.
