Fontana Gallery presents « Memories of a Blind Photographer by Hannes Wallrafen »
The exhibition ‘Memories of a Blind Photographer’ is a retrospective of Hannes Wallrafen, the highly acclaimed Dutch/German photo artist who lost his eyesight at the height of his career, now 10 years ago. Wallrafen is famous for his staged photography through which he sought to translate time into engineered images. His work can be regarded as personal interpretations of local history: Storytelling at its core.
Wallrafen’s work is included in many art collections across the world, such as the ‘Stedelijk Museum’ and 'Nederlands Fotomuseum'. Fontana Gallery will show a fine selection of his oeuvre, among which the iconic ‘De Schimmel’ that was shot in the pre-Photoshop era and is a demonstration of Wallrafen’s appraised talent and skill. Une chambre noire qui raconte l'histoire avec The Darkroom
L'exposition The Darkroom au Musée de la Photographie Néerlandaise est la première et seule présentation permanente aux Pays-Bas traitant de l'histoire de la photographie hollandaise. Extraite de l'opulente collection du musée, l'exposition couvre environ 185 années de le vie de la photographie hollandaise.
Les plans réalisées par les architectes renommés du groupe Kossman. dejong ont permis la transformation de 250m2 du musée en chambre noire. En plaçant un papier dans un plateau de développement, exactement comme les photographes faisaient autrefois dans leurs chambres noires, le visiteur active la narration audio relatant l'histoire comparative récente de la photographie avec ses photographes, ses films ... - Exposition
IMAGINE A collection of contemporary and vintage photographs
Kahmann Gallery presents a wonderful selection of both vintage and contemporary photographs from all artist represented by the gallery. Together they are a perfect embodiment of the heartbeat of the Kahmann Gallery and prove of its unique identity established since the foundation in 2004.
