Ed Drew

Ed Drew est né à Brooklyn, New-York, après son diplôme il rejoint le service actif de l'armée Air Force pour 6 ans. Il a été placé à Little Rock, dans l'Arkansas et à Tachikawa au Japon. C'est au Japon qu'Ed Drew va développer son intérêt pour l'art et la photographie. Après 4 ans au Japon, Ed Drew se rendit en Allemagne pour 3 ans afin de développer son oeuvre artistique.
Puis il retourna en Amérique après 7 ans absence, rejoignit la garde aérienne de Californie et s'inscrit au San Francisco Art Institute. Il suivit le cursus à plein temps, pour un diplôme BFA en sculpture et photographie, tout en pilotant pour l'US Air Force Combat Search et les hélicoptères de secours comme artilleur aérien.
Il est récemment retourné dans une base militaire déployée dans la province d'Helmand en Afghanistan d'avril à juin 2013. Le résultat du corps du travail qui définit la démarche artistique d'Ed Drew est l'approche de la vie.

Ed Drew was born in Brooklyn, NYC, after graduating high school joined the active duty Air Force for 6 years. His was stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas and Tachikawa, Japan. It was in Japan that Ed Drew developed an interest for fine art and photography. After 4 years stationed in Japan, Ed Drew moved to Germany for 3 years further developing his artist oeuvre. 
He then moved back to America after 7 years absence, joined the California Air National Guard and enrolled in San Francisco Art Institute. He currently attends school full time, for a BFA major in Sculpture and minor in Photography, while flying on US Air Force Combat Search and Rescue helicopters as an Aerial Gunner. 
He recently returned from a military deployment to the Helmand Province Afghanistan. from April to June 2013. The resulting body of work while there has redefined Ed Drew's artistic and life approach.
