As Pulse transforms the cavernous and industrial void of Pier 40 into an elegant presentation hall for contemporary art, Galerie Stefan Roepke presents "Playing With Space" in Booth D-01, an exhibition of works by artists who investigate and experiment with space and void, stretching the traditional limits of the picture plane, and blurring the boundaries between two-dimensional and sculptural space.
Among the artists that will be included are Jordi Alcaraz, Eduardo Chillida, Jason Gringler, Greg Allen-Muller, Aitor Ortiz, and Julio Rondo. And continuing with this concept of "Playing With Space" beyond the booth, a large hand-blown glass and mirror sculpture by Aleksandar Duravcevic, "Endless Cannonball, 2008", will be installed along the exhibition hallways adjacent to the VIP lounge.
