Alan Barnes is staging five operas for the Opera Frankfurt and the Bockenheimer Depot in Frankfurt/Main.
In the coming months Alan Barnes will cooperate with renowned opera directors such as Jens Daniel Herzog and Claus Guth as well as again with Alfred Kirchner. In their collaborations he is responsible for the coordination of Operas like 'Un Ballo in Maschera', 'La Boheme' and 'Lohengrin'. Within the scope of this work, Alan Barnes is using his long experience as a dancer and choreographer to clearly define the complex interpretations of all performers relating to the requirements of the directors and musical directors. Thereby he is coordinating creatively the singing, acting and dancing of each performer according to the demands of director and stage. Further productions to which Alan Barnes will contribute with his choreographic skills are 'Fidelio' directed by Alex Harb and 'La finta giardieniera' in cooperation with director Tilman Knabe.
