Between 1994 and 2006, David Barbour travelled to Cuba thirteen times to document life on the streets in Old Havana. In 1999, he was awarded a mid-career Canada Council Grant to complete the project. In 2000, he exhibited part of the series in a two person exhibition with American photographer Bruce Gilden. In 2003, he presented a 42 print exhibit at the Ottawa School of Art. This on-going, evolving series portraying life in Cuba will continue in 2007. If you are interested in booking the completed exhibition, publishing the work, or organizing a photo workshop, please contact him.
