Marco Pesaresi was born in Rimini in 1964. After several trips to African countries and Europe, his main focus were migrants and dropouts, drugs, prostitution, and life on the border. He documented nightlife as well, in Italy and Europe, in the most exciting andshocking moments. His photos have been widely published in the main international press. In 1994 he was awarded the Premio Linea d'Ombra. In 1995 he was selected among the 12 best photojournalists to take part in the World Press Photo Masterclass. In 1996, the Editorial Staff of El País-Magazine gave him a Special Honour Mention for his reportage on subways. Marco Pesaresi died suddenly in Rimini in December 2001.
