Next Door...artGalleria of Rome is pleased to present Claudio Asquini personal solo-show of photography. The exhibition is curated by Augusto Pieroni. Asquini's most recent works are shown with all the optical attractiveness of photography in large colour-photochemical format: images are solemn, meticulous and elegant. It is a work inspired to ambiguity of human feelings, thus presenting images with high definition, clear, suspended, which in turn could be off placing for the observer. Conversely, the atmosphere is dense and the emotional lack of definition is found in the actions, represented through a diversified world of people that fill the foreground of a skilful thought composition. The emotional overcharge creates a violent contrast with the coldness of photography. Even capacity of identifying places, people, and objects is vague and hopeless. Asquini's show presented at NextDoor...artGalleria is a selection of images, five to be precise, taken from a larger body of work, which creates a subgroup of a multi forms united under the theme of a Tainted Love.
