ØYVIND HJELMEN has been working with photography for more than 25 years, his works have been exhibited in 14 countries, and have been aquired by public and private collections. Apart from teaching his own workshops, he has been guest lecturing internationally at colleges and universities. THE WORKSHOP
will focus on a personal approach to photography, whether you are searching for your own personal expression, or you are looking to hone the expression you have already achieved.
We encourage participants to be open minded and willing to experiment in their search for expression. This will not be a technical workshop, but if needed technical advice will be given. There will be lectures giving a multitude of inputs, and daily feedback on the participants work as we progress. There will also be one – to – one sessions, where participants will be able to discuss in depth their photographic and artistic challenges. The workshop will be held in English. Our base will be at Galerie Depardieu, where all lectures will be held. The gallery is situated very close to the Old Town.
PRICE
The cost of the workshop is 450 Euros. When you apply for the workshop, you will be sent a registration form and an invoice for a deposit of 100 Euros. When this has been paid, you space in the workshop is guaranteed. After the application deadline, the deposit will be returned to you only if the workshop should be cancelled.

this beautiful city in the south of France between Cannes and Monaco, has so many things to offer. Not only the famous promenades, - such as Promenade des Anglais -, and the beautiful long beaches, but also a mutitude of museums: Musée Matisse, Musée Chagall, Musée de la Photographie, Museum of Modern art MAMAC, to mention only a few. In the OldTown you will find charming streets, shops, bars and restaurants, and also very interesting places like Palais Lascaris, which is an exceptional example of baroque architecture. Overlooking the Old Town is le Château, the Castle, with its magnificent view of the city and the sea. Whatever subject matter you pursue in your photography, we are certain you will find it in Nice!
