Meehan will explain how the individual visual elements in a selection of images were “brought together” for an effective composition and what specific techniques were used to capture the subject. In addition, some post production techniques will be included as well as a section on Panoramic techniques. Attendees will also receive a disk with links to all methods described in the seminar.

Understanding the Power of the Camera to Control the Picture
Meehan will show you through multiple examples, the impact of how different types of framing, aperture selection, zoom or changing camera distance can alter an image. You will also learn how the type of lens and shutter speeds control the way motion will be represented in a scene as well as introducing selective sharpness and even the illusion of depth.

Controlling the Qualities of "Photographic" Light
In this seminar, Joseph Meehan will first review the key physical characteristics of photographic light and the specific camera functions that record those characteristics.
The goal of this seminar is to help the photographer develop a personal system to recognize the photographic qualities of light and how to use various camera controls to capture those qualities.
