The competition is being supported by The Guardian and is free to enter, but the charity appreciates and welcomes donations towards its vital, life-changing work with vulnerable older people in some of the poorest countries in the world.
Prizes and judging
Entries will be judged by a prestigious team of judges that includes the Photo Editor of The Guardian, Roger Tooth; award-winning Guardian photo journalist David Levene; and News Editor at Charity partner Silver Travel Advisor, Roger Bray.
Winning images will take pride of place in an exhibition in central London. They will also be displayed in an online gallery and a selection of photos will feature in Age International’s 2017 calendar. There are two categories: Amateur and Professional. The Amateur category winner will win a class in street photography with a professional photographer, courtesy of The Guardian. The winner of the Professional category will receive a £500 voucher
from Calumet Photographic.
