Kristin Dittrich (born, 1977, Dresden) is an contemporary photography expert. She holds an M.A. in exhibition dramaturgy in photography from the Sorbonne, Paris, and is the founder of the International Photography Festival F/Stop in Leipzig, Germany. Among many other roles she was part of the team of the last documenta13, Kassel. She curates and publishes her writing regularly internationally. Kristin worked in the early years for the Paris Photo Fair team, as Project manager.

Friday (13.11.)
In the morning we will visit Paris Photo at The Grand Palais - the most important international photography event in the world. Kristin Dittrich will point out contemporary trends in the fair and will give us exclusive access to Gallery owners and artists. We will meet curators, collectors, photographers and gallery owners to be inspired from these insiders. Extra time is aloud into this schedule, so visitors get the chance to experience, question and discover photography artworks with the help of Kristin Dittrich. We will also focus on collecting photography and guide you through the process of evaluating photography in market therms.
Saturday (14.11.)
A unique experience with the photographer Götz Diergarten, Saturdays workshop is going to take us to a journey through Paris. Diergarten, a extraordinary photographer and fascinating lecturer will assist participants to form an artistic point of you on the French capital. The group will visit various points of interest of Paris, working towards an individual artistic outlook of the city, considering color, shape, movement and composition in the photographic frame. On Saturday night we will have dinner together. This will be followed of projection of the selected images of the days exploration.
Sunday (15.11.)
The day is dedicated for you to explore and discover on your own, based on a list of recommended shows, provided by Kristin. We will start our trip back home in the afternoon.

The price does not include:
Travel expenses to, from and inside of Paris, as well as accommodation. Last year Shift School Trip to Paris Photo as rented an apartment in the center of town. Please let us know if you are interested to join this year.
We have limited number of participants of this trip. Participants should be enthusiastic about photography and expect an adventurous weekend.
