The Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography is pleased to present an exhibition of one of the most significant photographers of the mid-20th century, Bullock worked in the American modernist tradition alongside Edward Weston, Harry Callahan and Ansel Adams. The very first retrospective exhibition in Moscow will feature 60 black-and-white works tracing Bullock’s evolution from his early experimental work of the 1940s, through the mysterious black-and-white imagery of the 1950s and color light abstractions of the 1960s, to his late metaphysical photographs of the 1970s.
