"Beck & Eggeling presents an exhibition of current works by Joachim Brohm on the occasion of the Duesseldorf Photo Weekend 2015. The exhibition 'Not a House' will show a number of new and single photographs. They do not relate to a particular thematic or serial context. The subjects of these photographs are buildings, places and objects which in time or space derive from different sources but which we often come across in everyday life. Brohm lends its own reflexive scope to the idiosyncratic combination of objects pictured in his photographs. Despite his objectiveness and accuracy in rendering, Brohm is able to expertly pose the question of effigy and reality within photography."
