The 'Botanical Portraits' are a series that employ photograms of human scale plants as subject matter. The vital energy of these plants is expressed through the directness of the photogram process. The plants are selected for both their scale and their healing properties relevant to the human condition. The simple, direct truth of the subject matter is revealed, suggesting both the benevolent and the terrible beauty of the natural world.
