Beverley Southcott / Conduit Space
Reflections and refractions float across the surface, haunting the flat plane with the suggestions of something, or someone, beyond or beneath. Not so much records of the world but hints of another, these photographs remind us that although we cannot move between image and world, we can re-imagine that rigid boundary as a liminal zone.
From the essay Liminal Vision by Christopher Williams-Wynn

Pia Johnson / In a dim light ….
The setting is rural Japan in the middle of the night. Time passes slowly. The weather is changeable and so am I. I cannot sleep. I wander in this liminal space. Displaced in a foreign land. Listless, awake, the edges of self beginning to fray. - Pia Johnson

Sam Perry Dow / The Lucky Country
An ambiguous statement that represents an outdated mythological view of Australia, that has become embedded in the psyche of its people. How did this ironic remark become an expression of national pride and identity? Is it a realistic representation of Australia today? I welcome you to experience the Lucky Country.
