RICOCHET (skimming stones) – 2013
In his new body of work, Christophe Canato is exploring the imaginary of prepubescent boys.
This journey in the adventurous childhood is based on the inspirational contexts of architechtural and creativity, narcissism and mimetism, tribal and ritual.
This photographic series is composed with portraits and still life images. In black background with specific contrast and tones in reference to classical paintings, these photographs are serein and delicat in between real world and fantasies.

The title « Ricochet » in reference with the gamme, skimming stone, as well as the ricochet effect of our souvenirs coming back by flashes or episodes in our adult age.
For the very first time, 3 short films will complete Christophe Canato’s photographic work. Gesture, Digging, Barbichette have been realised with the complicity of the Choreographer and film maker Sue Peacock.
