Leslie Elliottsmith’s photographs are created from multiple images she has taken from her own backyard and travels. Each montage creates a personal comment on our modern day lives and addresses her personal concerns about events. Frequently, water, time, lifecycles, regeneration, and footprint of man on our environment are recurring themes within the work. The photographs are intentionally ambiguous compositions that are symbolic and narrative. It is up to the viewer to take from the imagery their personal story.
