In the spring of 2012 the FoMu will start a series of exhibitions focusing on young Belgian photographers. The series opens with Sarah Carlier (Belgium, 1981) and Lara Mennes (Belgium,1982), two photographers who are fascinated with how the past is visualized in present society. Carlier focuses on how people cling to tradition, Mennes carries a magnifying glass in her search of traces of the past in abandoned buildings.
