Since 1973, Linda Troeller has been a fearless explorer of the personal and sensual lives of women.
In this collection of almost 40 years of portraits and self-portraits, she is the subject - funny, pensive, bold, sexy, wise and wry.
For me, Linda's photos overflow with her search for an intimate engagement with daily life. Every image shouts: «I am here. I am filled with desire and energy. Join me!» Each image is fully 3-dimensional and dynamic. This series is a passionate journey across the rapidly changing roles, dreams, and ambitions of women in the late 20th/early 21st centuries.

She received the Woman of Achievement Award from Douglass College for her TB-AIDS DIARY that helped prevent discriminative stamping of HIV in passports. Her current project, Self-Portrayal is a collection of self-portraits accompanied by portraits by accomplished colleagues, taken over four decades, highlighting changes in the history of photography and a personal journey reflecting on sex and identity. Recently, she taught Self-portraiture Workshops to women of Medellin, Colombia, where her work has been exhibited at Centro Colombia Galerie and in Palm Spring, Ca.
