A Prayer for Beauty “Beauty is the embodiment of spirit in matter” “copying the ‘real , it is not the truth of a relationship …as ‘putting to work of truth’ is neither an ‘imitation’ nor a ‘description’, nor a ‘reproduction’, whether it represents a singular thing or a general essence.” (Derrida) The Exhibition is a collection of photography chosen from different series, the exposing allegories, of beauty as a symbol of the un-coded aesthetic. The photographs expose the reality of anonymous people that are exposing there concept of self beauty and sexuality by the delicate tension between ethic and esthetic. “A prayer for Beauty” is a poetic essay exposing personal longing for the sublime, and to recognition by the “other” as worthy. This is the post modern desire and complex. Love is parallel to the way we respond to aesthetic gestures of others encoding them. Beauty is the experience of communication (Walter Benjamin). Controlling the esthetic (Fashion, awareness,) is controlling reality of communication. Photography enables to encode the aesthetic. The Dialectics of Seeing in photography enables to reach the personal as the avocation of contemporary aesthetic by exposing the personal gestures of indulgent the Self Image alters to a prayer for beauty that is reflecting the long for recognition.
