Void Old City Factory Patrick Street BT48 7EL Derry Irlande
Void is an artist-led contemporary art space housing two gallery spaces, six studios, an education area and a conference room. Void has 7 exhibitions per year showing work of established international and Irish artists.
Void exists to present the contemporary visual arts and to support artists, through a programme of exhibitions, related educational and outreach activities from a national and international perspective.
Voids latest exhibition is by Irish artist Niamh O’Malley.
O’Malley’s practice is concerned with the slippage between a moment and an image. She investigates the construction and arrangement of time and document as revealed through both the moving image and painted still.
Her works combine moments of sync and resolution with unsettling agitations in the recorded form. Volatile visual planes provoke barriers and gaps in the viewing experience.'
Niamh O’Malleys exhibition at Void opens on Saturday 1st August at 7.30-10pm.
Artists Talk 8pm.
All Welcome.
