Festival : « PHotoEspaña 2015 »
PHotoEspaña, International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts, set out to become a Festival generated by popular demand in 1998, and today it has earned its place as one of the most relevant visual arts events in the world. PHotoEspaña is one of the central international forums for photography. Each year the Festival attracts more than six hundred thousand people and receives acclaim from prestigious critics, making it the most popular cultural event in Spain. The Festival is an exceptional occasion for discovering images, videos and installations created by outstanding national and international photographers and visual artists.

Exhibition : Made in Brasil
Made in Brasil is the very first exhibition at Casa Daros dedicated exclusively to Brazilian art. The show presents around 60 works from the Daros Latinamerica Collection, based in Zurich, Switzerland.
Made in Brasil is conceived as a homage to the magnificent artistic environment of Brazil. With our comprehensive collection of works by Brazilian artists, it seems perfectly fitting to devote an exhibition exclusively to Brazilian art in the country of its origin.

This exhibition also ties in with individual presentations of those Brazilian artists in the Daros Latinamerica Collection—such as Lenora de Barros, Iole de Freitas, Rosângela Rennó, and Eduardo Berliner—who have already exhibited at Casa Daros.

The tattoo, originally "the tatau" ornaments the skin and thus abstracts everyday life. The Tattoo is a masquerade of the skin and marks the body itself as the place of fantasy. Because through the painted body - through the tattoo - the body itself becomes exotic and therefore there is no normal everyday life anymore. Now there is only an exotic and erotic everyday life possible.
To cover the body with signs is like opening a door. A door to paradise, to another place, to an utopian place. The body itself becomes this heterotopos. The body itself becomes this utopian place.
