Born 1966 in Switzerland, Marc Latzel works on assignments for various national and international magazines, publications and advertising agencies. Parallel to the commissioned activities he is working on several personal projects.

In 2000 he joined the photographers’ agency «Lookat-Photos», based in Zurich and in 2004 he was a founding member of «Lookatonline.com».

He is lecturing and running workshops at the University of Art and Design Lausanne (ECAL), at the Centre d’Enseignement Professionnel in Vevey (CEPV) and at the Swiss School of Journalism (MAZ).

The World Press Association nominated him for the «1997 Joop Swart Masterclass» award. He won the «vfg–Selection» nomination and exhibition in 2005; the «vfg–Selection public award» in 2007; he was selected for the Photo Forum Pasqu'Art 2010 and got the «Landis & Gyr Studio Grant» for London in 2011.

In 2003 the «Bank Julius Bär», Zurich acquired «Tokyo-Fish» for its art-collection while the Kulturkommission of the Bieler Fototage in 2004 acquired «Theran Flying Women Committee» for its public collection.
