Fotofestival in Poland 2014
13th edition of Fotofestiwal will take place on June 5-15, 2014 in Łódź, as ever. This time the festival returns to the venue in which 10 earlier editions took place. Main exhibitions and events will be housed at Art_Inkubator in Fabryka Sztuki (Art Factory), three post-industrial buildings which have been modernized and transformed into an impressive, high-tech place within the last 3 years. The programme of this year Fotofestiwal is afoot, but we will disclose a few details right now.
Future Photo Show is a discussion panel devoted to the theme of future, combined with Q&A with authors. The guests will be visionary artists, who create images of the future. We have invited three photographers: Phillip Toledano, Vincent Fournier and Kobas Laksa.
As part of the Special Exhibitions section we will ... - Exposition

Like music that transforms auditory sensation into emotion and action, the photographers of NOT LO... - Exposition

The need to modify reality, to thicken the time and the situation, to stage things, to create a certain fiction or the illusion of fiction which will make it easier to speak of one’s own reality.
What is this own, personal reality?
It is an image that simultaneously generates memory and determines what one would like to remember. It is also an ordinary snapshot or a family picture, as well as an after-image and deja-vu.
It is both an account and reminiscence.
Sensitivity to images that are already familiar, that once appeared somewhere before our eyes – eyes conscious or unconscious of what they were seeing.
These images are s...
