Since 1994 Gea Casolaro (born in Rome in 1965), mainly through photography, has analysed the infinite realities contained in each image, in each glance. In 1996 she won the Suzzara Award, participated in the 1998 Biennale for the Young Artists of Europe and the Mediterranean in Sarajevo. Gea was present in 2003 at the 14th Quadrennial of Naples, and in 2004 in Italian pavillion in the Garden of Biennale of Venice. The video entitled "Volver atrás para ir adelante", filmed in Argentina immediately after the economic crisis, won the competition "The video game" and has been presented in Rome, Nyon and Los Angeles. "Above our future" dated 2005, with its images shot in China and Argentina has been exhibited in Venice.

Rome's EUR district is certainly one of these places. An emblematic location with its modernity consisting in empty spaces and metaphysical geometries, in which solitude and anguish intermingle with an extreme and desperate faith in the future.
