Elley Ho is a California-based photographer who began her career as a special educator for young children with disabilities. Her love of working with children inspired her to pick up a camera and document their struggles and growth. During this process, she discovered a new talent and passion for capturing beauty and emotion, leading to a parallel career as an independent motion and still photographer.
Although most of her commercial work consists of weddings and portraiture, she has expanded her professional repertoire and humanitarian service by focusing on subject matter close to her heart. In 2007, she began helping children in the developing world by volunteering as a teacher and donating her photographic services to various NGOs in China, Nepal and Peru. She believes strongly that having access to education is the most powerful tool for improving the lives of young people across the globe.
In addition to teaching children, Elley seeks to educate and engage people through her images, giving them a glimpse into worlds they otherwise would not see. Her gift of foresight in anticipating moments of expression provides a unique and sentimental view of people and their emotions.
