I was raised on the island of Maui, and married my high school sweetheart who I have known for more than half of my life. Together, we have two beautiful sons (ages 6 and 8) who inspire me to be the change I want to see in this world.
I am a proud University of Hawai`i at Manoa graduate and current law student. I earned my BA in Psychology, with a minor in Family and Consumer Sciences; an MPH with a focus on Health Communication and Health Policy; and am now an evening law student at the William S. Richardson School of Law.
I have also been teaching courses in Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa. As a lecturer, I have had the privilege of teaching and learning from nearly 3,000 students in the past 5 years.
In my spare time, I cultivate my first and truest passion in photography, by capturing snippets of our society. Someday, I do believe that I will serve in public office. In the meantime, I am ready to focus my lens towards Hawai`i's most prevalent and challenging social and health "issues," while raising two amazing children, and helping as many people as I can along the way.
I am an artist, activist, humanitarian, and lifelong learner.
