Cortona On The Move, photography in travel, is the first international festival centered on this genre of photography. Thinking about this event, we have given the journey the importance it deserves declining this word in all its forms and definitions. Our times are characterized by nomadism, speed and everyday's mobility: ways of being in motion, to explore, watch, find out. Cortona On The Move, photography in travel responds to this conceptually widespread idea of travel where the photography and photographers, travelers by definition, are the focus of the attention and are leading us through their eyes in various corners of the world and beyond.

“Brian Finke: U.S. Marshals,” at Clampart
ClampArt is pleased to announce “Brian Finke: U.S. Marshals,” the artist’s fifth solo show at the gallery. The exhibition coincides with the release of Finke’s fourth monograph (powerHouse Books, Hardcover, 10.25 x 10.25 inches, 128 pages, $35).
Shot over the course of four years, “U.S. Marshals” chronicles the culture as well as the practices and procedures of the country’s oldest law enforcement agency. “I felt like it was my own version of the TV show ‘Cops,’” said Finke.
Established in 1798, the duties of the U.S. Marshals include apprehending fugitives, transporting and housing prisoners, and protecting witnesses and federal judges. Finke gained unprecedented access to document the Marshals in 2010 after re-connecting with a childhood friend&mda... - Exposition

ClampArt is pleased to present "Brian Finke : Construction", the artist's fourth solo show at the gallery. The exhibition coincides with the release of Finke's third monograph of the same title from Decode Books (Hardcover, 60 color ills, 10.5 x 10.5 inches, $55), which includes an essay by Whitney Johnson, the Director of Photography at The New Yorker.
Finke (b. 1976) is now well-regarded for his photographs concentrating on select groups of people, including high school cheerleaders and football players, male and female, bodybuilders, and also flight attendants. ClampArt is pleased to announce “Brian Finke: Flight Attendants,” the artist’s third solo show at the gallery. The exhibition coincides with the release of Finke’s second monograph of the same title from powerHouse Books.
Flying the friendly skies, Brian Finke crisscrossed the United States photographing flight attendants on Delta, JetBlue, Hawaiian, Hooters Air, Southwest, and Song airlines before going abroad with such carriers as Air France, Qantas, and British Airways. In London, Finke visited a flight attendant school complete with emergency rafts and billowing smoke, and then, continuing east, he traveled Air Asia, Thai, Tiger, ANA, Japan, and Cathay Pacific. Finke finished two years of travel with the illustrious Icelandair.
