Barbaros Kayan and its vision of the riots in Turkey
It all started on May 31. May 31, 2013, Istanbul's people are opposed to the destruction of Gezi Park, located in Taksim, the heart of Istanbul's Istanbul, mobilizing peacefully. A mall project would indeed replace the green space, dear to many residents of Istanbul. Nothing too bad, a pacifist environmentalists gathering with residents, intellectuals, architects ... But this mobilization was not at the taste of the Recep Tayyip Erdogan's government, the Prime Minister of the country.

Barbaros Kayan et sa vision des révoltes en Turquie
Tout a commencé un 31 mai. Le 31 mai 2013, des stambouliotes opposés à la destruction du parc Gezi, situé à Taksim, au cœur d’Istanbul, se mobilisent pacifiquement. Un projet de centre commercial devait en effet remplacer cet espace vert, cher à de nombreux habitants d'Istanbul. Rien de bien méchant, un rassemblement pacifiste d'écologistes, de riverains, d'intellectuels, d'architectes... Pourtant, cette mobilisation n'a pas été au goût du gouvernement de Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, premier ministre.
