Benefit Photo Auction for Survival International's movement
The Little Black Gallery supports the Survival International Benefit Photo Auction with Paddle8, which goes live from 11-25 May 2015.
This auction of contemporary photography, curated by Ghislain Pascal of The Little Black Gallery, is raising the much needed funds for Survival International. It includes images donated by some of the world's best known photographers and some of the hottest emerging new names, such as Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Carol Beckwith & Angela Fisher, Giovanni Cipriani, Bob Carlos Clarke, Nick Cobbing, Marco Glaviano and many others.
Survival International is the global movement for tribal peoples’ rights. It champions tribal peoples around the world, helping them defend their lives, protect their lands and determine their own futures.

AFRICAN FACES
Hugo Maertens dévoile à travers African Faces le masque africain tel qu'on ne l'avait jamais vu, s'attachant dans ses photos grand format à des détails et des effets de surfaces de masques provenant notamment des musées de Tervuren et Anvers, ou de collections privées. Ce travail fait l'objet d'un livre de 400 photos à paraître prochainement.

Gallery CAMERA WORK in Berlin presents the exhibition »Africa« from the 26th of April until the 7th of July that provides an insight into the breathtaking landscape and wildlife as well as the culture of individual countries on the black continent. Problematic social circumstances are not ignored, like the photo reportages by Thomas Billhardt, Robert Lebeck and Oliver Jannsen show. They focus on the social upheavals after the colonial rule or the impact of the HIV pandemic.
The American artist Kurt Markus concentrates on the widths of the Sahara desert with a series of dune landscapes. Nick Brands' portraits of African animals reflect their natural dignity.
