He's been taking pictures since he was in school. He graduated in audiovisual communications from the Universidad Católica del Perú. He's worked as a photojournalist in several local newspapers and magazines before going on to concentrate on documentary photography projects. He won the Passport for an Artist contest in 2006, in the documentary photography category with his series "Función Noche". His series on exemplary Peruvians received an honorable mention in the National contest "Peruvians Today".
He's been a finalist in the 1st ICPNA National Photography Exposition in 2006. In January 2007 he exhibited his series "Breaker Boys" in the Pancho Fierro Gallery, as part of a collective exposition about the city of Lima. Actually he's studing a Master in documentary filmmaking in Barcelona.
