The Italian Cultural Association MoCA (Modern Contemporary Art), in collaboration with Arte Laguna and with the support of the Venetian Academy of Art, advertises the International Photographic Art Prize Arte Laguna, First Edition.
The initiative is open to the Artists from all over the world, who can participate at the Competition with one or two works, realised in thematic, stylistic and technical freedom.
The award admits:
— colour and b/w analogical photos
— colour and b/w digital photos
— colour and b/w digital elaborations
— works entirely realized on computer.
The award does not admit videos.
The works - regularly entered for the competition - will be valued by an expert Commission, which will proceed to select the 40 finalist works. The finalist pieces of Art will be protagonists of a Collective Exhibition at Brolo, Center of Art and Culture in Mogliano Veneto (Treviso) from the 25th November till 2nd December 2007.
The Prize giving will be the following:
First Prize: personal exhibition of 10 days at “L'Occhio Art Gallery”, Venice. The prize includes vernissage, critical presentation edited by Igor Zanti, invitation, press releases. www.artelaguna.it will dedicate to the winner of the Prize an entire section, where works, personal profile and critics' opinion of the Artist will be published.
Second prize: 1.500 euro
Third prize: 1000 euro
Special Prize “International Centre of Photographic Art”: personal exhibition of 7 days at the International Centre of Photographic Art, Triest. The exhibition includes vernissage, invitation, press releases. www.artelaguna.it will dedicate to the winner of the Prize an entire section, where the works and the personal profile of the Artist will be published.
Special prize: “Agrigento Arte”: the first-, second- and third- place winners of the Prize will take part - with a stand 4x4 mt - to the Mostra Mercato di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea “Agrigento Arte”, from 2nd till 5th October 2008.
Special Prize “Virtual Jury”: the pictures of the 40 finalist works will be published on-line at www.artelaguna.it and may be voted from 18th October 2007 till 10th November 2007. The work that will receive more votes will be awarded with a virtual gallery at www.artelaguna.it for a year long.
