The Donkey Art Prize, at the third edition, is open to all artists, without any boundaries of age, sex, nationality or qualification. Each artist is welcome and can participate with one work only, to one section.
The prize has an extremely FREE THEME and subject. It's divided in two categories: Painting and
Photography, each section has two awards, under and over 30 years old.
Each category has 50 finalists

Painting category awards

under 30 yrs winner gets 2.000,00 euros plus a painting kit-box provided by Industrie Maimeri and other merchandise
over 30 yrs winner gets 2.000,00 euros plus a painting kit-box provided by Industrie Maimeri and other merchandise
50 finalists

Photography category awards

under 30 yrs winner gets 2.000,00 euros and other merchandise
over 30 yrs winner gets 2.000,00 euros and other merchandise
50 finalists

The finalists will be invited to display their work in one of the galleries of the Donkey Art Prize circuit in the period between June and September 2015 in the cities of Milan, Saint Petersburg, Miami and Tokyo.

Each finalist and winner will have his/her own personal page pubished on the donkeyartprize.com website.

At the end of the events a printed catalogue will be released with all the information about the Prize, such as all finalists, winners, events, partners etc.

The entry fee is 35 euros.
The jury's decisions are made on an anonymous basis (no favour to friends...)
The artworks always remains property of the artists.

Blindonkey is an Italian cultural association and a no-profit organization, with a young and enthusiastic staff, coming from different worlds, born with the aim of establishing a link between art, photography, fashion and music.

The purpose is developing a global network of artists, coming from different backgrounds and cultures, through international exhibition and events, and promoting new talents across the world.

We have already organized exhibitions in Milan, London, Madrid, New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Hong Kong, showing hundreds of artists.

Donkey art Prize is not the typical art competition born to award great names and and already famous artists only to "make noise" and appear more important to critics and experts, It's something else.

We'd like to think about our prize more like an opportunity for artists to become professionals.

We want to give chances to people, be democratic, putting merit and good skills first.

That's the reason why we use the “anonymous marking” to select our winners and we encourage them to work hard and consider our award as a starting point instead of a goal.
